little_thief | Case 47: Turnabout Boredom

[Well, Kay's been a housewife for just over a week now. Once the initial shock wore off, she was actually kind of excited about it because it meant she wouldn't have to go to school anymore. But now that some time has gone by, she's finding out just how boring her new life really is. You can find her around town on Friday in a couple of different situations:

1. At home, sitting in the living room watching her Jammin' Ninja DVDs for the umpteenth time in a row. It's still her favorite show and all, but it's sort of been her go-to activity for boredom lately, and even that's getting a little old. Family, feel free to bother her before or after work or school. Passersby can probably see the glow of the big-screen from the street, since she's got the curtains open.

2. In the yard building a snowman. She's got some food coloring out there with her, and for some reason it looks like she's trying to make it look like it's wearing a bright fuchsia suit. There's also a messily ruffled white napkin sticking out of where the snowman's head meets the rest of its body.

3. Hanging out at Japan's cosplay cafe when it's not her shift. She's been working there for a little while now and probably knows the other employees, so any coworkers or visiting friends can come over and say hi while she sits there eating cake and drinking hot chocolate.]

[Miakis smiles, albeit a little sadly. She knows the feeling, man. ;A;]

Yeah, me too. But at least your friend is safe back home, rather than being stuck here! That's how I like to look at it, at least.

[A pause, as she regards the snowman yet again.] I wonder if I could make a snowman look like the Princess...

Maybe! What does she look like?

She's really cute! And short, with long brown hair... And she looks like a pug-nosed tomboy when she's really upset~

Haha, sure~ Good way to pass the time! Too bad I don't have my wig, though...

[ladida rolling up snow to build with]

"Huh? Wig?"

[doot doot making a second ball of snow over here]

Yeah! I used to have one, just for fun... I wanted to see if the Prince looked like her with it on. Alas, they don't look a thing alike~

Oh well. Worth a try, right?

Exactly! You never know until you try, I guess~

That's a pretty good way to live your life.

I like to think so! And when it doesn't work out, hey, I get to laugh at a cute boy wearing a silly wig~

"Oh man, y'know who'd look hilarious in a wig?"

[Kay glances back at the snowman, stifling laughter.]

"Mr. Edgeworth!"

[Miakis follows Kay's gaze toward the snowman and considers this... and after a moment, she starts giggling too.]

Well, if he ever shows up here, I'll have to make him try it on~

His drone's probably still floating around somewhere, but that wouldn't be as much fun.

Drones are never as much fun as the real thing. [pout] Stupid Mayfield.

Yeah... did you know my drone used to be on the cheerleading squad? It was really weird.

My drone just likes cooking and cleaning~ And calling Ken chubby, apparently. [smirk!] Drones are funny like that!

"Huh..."

[She thinks for a second, tapping the side of her face.]

"I wonder what my drone is like now, actually. The town thinks I'm an adult now."

Probably all domestic like mine, considering what Mayfield thinks of women in general~ Here's hoping we never find out, hmm?

Yeah. I don't really like being droned. It's depressing.

No kidding! I got droned right after Christmas. Totally ruined the rest of the holiday~

Christmas wasn't that great anyway.

I'd never celebrated Christmas before, and it definitely wasn't all it's cracked up to be~ My present from Santa wasn't too bad, at least.

I promise it's not usually like that! It's usually way better!
